Hey there indiegamemag forum readers, my name is Jeff and I am the creative director and producer of Almost Out. I could not be more happy to finally bring Almost Out to Google Play and to see all of the hard work from the team come together into what has become a very fun and challenging new game. Almost Out is available now on Google Play for free and is an endless game that tasks players with surviving (and decimating) waves of enemies as Gee (my profile pic). Gee is lost in a forest and players are tasked with getting him out alive. Gee can utilize several varied items that grant him powers such as teleportation, an area-of-effect light blast, robot summons and more. The father a player travels through the forest the more difficult the game becomes. New threats are introduced during play and each is more unique and challenging than the previous. As players defeat the waves of Staraith they'll earn PP that both ranks up their character and earns them in-game currency that can be used to purchase new items, pieces of costume for Gee and even brand new characters. As players rank a character up that character will be able to utilize extra and more powerful items. Items can even be stacked to yield more dynamic and fun results. I urge you all to take the challenge that Almost Out presents and to see through how many lane sets you can survive (my personal best is 134). The game is free and everything in the game from costume pieces to characters can be unlocked through play, nothing is locked behind a pay wall.
