We, at Procedural Lab, have just released a Kickstarter campaign for our first game, Before You Sleep.

Description
Before You Sleep is a game where you thrive in a social environment for thirty days, trying to reach your goals, helping or hurting other people's actions.
You see the world through the protagonist's recollections at the end of each day, and you must choose the actions for the next day.
The environment seems pretty mundane, just like you and I have to face dailly. It's in the relationships with the others characters that the story unfolds. Every action is judged as morally good or bad. The ending depends on how many good or bad actions you did.
Each game session creates a new environment. New relationships are formed, new opportunities appear, new setbacks are thrown. Every game session tells its own story: your story.
You remember the past to understand your present. You plan your present to stay ahead of future threats. You nurture relationships to earn the fate that you choose daily.

- Focus on social interactions in order to reach the game ending
- Characters with personality are modeled after the MBTI psychology model
- Personalities, relationships, and social contexts procedurally generated each game session
- A procedurally generated game session is accessible through a password, easy to share with other people
- Explore and work on relationships with characters
- Explore memories in an endless visual way
- Memories may be fully recovered (clear) or diffuse
- Clear memories present elements in the image that can be clicked on in order to bring more memories related to that element
- Plan ahead the moves from other characters
- There are forty-eight basic actions plus eight possible variations for each action
- Action suggestions are according to the protagonist's personality and current emotion
- Protagonist actions succeed based on the involved character's relationship with the protagonist, current emotion, and social context of the given action
- The protagonist reacts to the character's actions based on the relationship with the character, current emotion, and social context of the given action
- Balance between staying awake thinking and having proper sleep time
- Memories are connected with each other, allowing the player to explore the memories while trying to remember a specific event that the protagonist is unable to clearly remember
- Progress is saved automatically for each round, accessible through the password system like old Megaman games and easy to share with other people
